The director of the film was asked what the key themes of the movie was, he replied:
「第3弾は原点回帰」
1. The third movie is about recurrence of the origin/starting point (of Ichigo and Rukia).
and
「ルキアに対する一護の想い」
2) Ichigo’s feelings towards Rukia.
I always thought rukia and ichigo would end up together, maybe this is the movie were the start?
